DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Under the general direction, General Foreman are responsible for coordinating a full range of duties to manage the Handling & Logistics operations of Bulk & Heavy Material Warehouse related to Oil & Gas industry by following the approved Policies and Procedures.

2. Carry out day to day assigned activities effectively by following all safety procedures.

3. Works on 2/3 duty cycle (7:00 to 15:00 & 15:00 to 23:00)

4. Allocate daily tasks to carry out loading & offloading and transporting of materials / equipment from / to Materials Yards / Jetty.

5. Monitor handling activities of the warehouse and yard.

6. Ensure all materials are properly secured and palletized with proper markings prior to shipment. Arranges equipment / lifting tackles as and when required.

7. Report operational activities to the Senior Foreman. Maintains logbook for the vehicle movement and prepares handover report to the next shift.

8. Receives / releases contractor / Qatar Energy materials for shipment to offshore locations.

9. Check performance of Qatar Energy / Contractor’s loading / offloading activities. Makes routine checks on contractor’s equipment and personnel. Ensures that returned cargo from user departments are handled with proper documentation.

10. Prepare internal exit pass, cargo manifest, daily report, delivery note, record of lifting equipment for offshore and other user departments.

11. Receive written-off/scrap and domestic/chemical/production wastes with proper documentation, ensure the movement of such items to the concerned Materials/Waste Manage facility yards.

12. Receive Hazardous chemicals as per HSE procedures and ensures operational activities carried out in accordance with Qatar Energy safety policy and procedure and follow up with Waste Management Facilities (WMF)

13. Monitors handling contracts staff performance.

14. Signs Internal gate passes.

15. Stops any unsafe practices in the premises.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management and Warehouse Operations in the Oil & Gas sector.

2. Shall be a Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

3. Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Well versed experience of lifting equipment and safe handling of heavy materials.

5. Working experience of loading and unloading of materials, skid mounted and large dimensioned equipment in oil and gas industry.

6. Experience in transportation of equipment, spares, pipes by following proper lashing methods using ropes, cables, wires, strapping, and nets etc.

7. Valid Qatari driving license.

8. Well versed knowledge of specifications, codes and standards of spares & consumables used in Oil & Gas industry.

9. Knowledge of IATA & IMDG code for shipment of dangerous & hazardous goods.

10. Knowledge of Safety standards followed in Oil & Gas industry. IOSH certificate Managing Safely or equivalent and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health - COSHH training certificates are mandatorily required prior to start working with Qatar Energy.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate or Diploma in any disciplines from a recognized university / board. Note: All the originals of qualification certificates shall be attested from country of origin by their respective board of education and Ministry of Foreign affairs to verify qualifications and credentials.
