DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Prepare annual stock check program and physically perform audit of respective materials warehouse, by comparing SAP stock data, in terms of quantity and technical specifications with each item on the store shelves.
2. Responsible for counting all physical inventory, generating department stock count / audit reports, reconciling computer data with the physical counts taken and reporting on errors found.
3. Shall be able to identify deviation / discrepancies with respect to Technical Specification of materials and raise to the attention of respective department for resolution.
4. Root cause analysis and solving of discrepancies with respect to Quantity, Quality, Technical Specification, Certification requirement and cross verification with Equipment data and to improve the Inventory accuracy.
5. Shall be able to identify the preservation requirements for the stock materials as per the standards followed in Oil & Gas industry, verify the preservation records, and advise respective Warehouse personnel to properly carry out the preservation of the Materials.
6. Stock checkers need to be vigilant and should have strong attention to notice damaged / expired products and other inventory problems such as non-movement of materials that may ultimately affect business. Identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made.
7. Review Internal control structures, performed special reviews, conduct internal audits, made recommendations for corrective actions of unsatisfactory conditions and report findings & recommendations to the respective team.
8. Ensure procedures, policies, regulations are correctly followed and complied with. Host monthly & quarterly meetings to share stock check / audit findings, plan upcoming audit schedules and develop action plans for noted areas of opportunity in the audit / counting process.
9. Ability to initiate stock adjustment, with supporting documentation, for inventory write off / write on in accordance with workflow/procedure. Ensure to keep accurate, comprehensive and reliable data on all findings of stock counts and maintains all records/documentations of discrepancies in accordance with procedures
10. Shall be able to read and interpret certificates such as MTC, COA, COC, etc. and MSDS for the Chemicals and to ensure Materials / Chemicals are stored in accordance with recommended storage condition and safely manner.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in Material Management and Warehouse Operations out of which minimum 5 years in the Oil & Gas sector as stock checker.
2. Experience and thorough knowledge in Inventory Management, Stock count and to prepare stock check report by referring to the aspects such as Technical spec, quantity variance, certification requirements, quality & preservation condition etc.
3. Good command of inspection certification requirements for various materials and commodities. Knowledge and experience in reviewing Engineering drawings, data sheets, parts list, inspection Certificates etc.
4. Well versed knowledge of Spares & consumables used in Oil & Gas industry.
5. Good knowledge and experience in SAP MM module with Computer literate and well-versed with Microsoft Office applications. Updates SAP to reflect accurate stock record critical to data integrity and operational requirement.
6. Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Experience in storage and handling of Chemicals of all the classes. Able to interpret MSDS and define storage & handling requirement. Well versed knowledge / understanding of UN / NFPA / GHS Classification.
8. Capability to understand and follow international safety standard followed in Oil & Gas industry. IOSH certificate Managing Safely or equivalent and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health - COSHH training certificates are mandatorily required prior to start working with QatarEnergy.
9. Familiar with usage of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
10. Knowledge and experience in Material Preservation standards followed in Oil & Gas industry.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Engineering or higher in disciplines of Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or Equivalent from a recognized university / board.
