HIRING Laboratory Supervisor - Civil Material Testing FOR SAUDI ARABIA
Description
Laboratory supervisor is responsible to provide supervision of field and laboratory technicians, monitor
the work at site and laboratory, monitor the environmental conditions, works with Lab Manager to
schedule and perform, if needed, the daily field and laboratory tasks. Performs recurring work
independently, receiving technical advice as needed.
Responsibilities
• Establish work standards in coordination with the Lab Manager
• Determine the number and qualifications of personnel, as well as the equipment and material
necessary, to satisfy workload demands
• Direct and coordinate a staff of field and laboratory technicians in the testing
• Monitor testing activity to ensure that tests and observations are properly performed, samples and
test results are properly logged
• Assist and monitor to ensure technicians are receiving proper training, and monitoring technician
attendance;
• Coordinating and reporting to the Lab Manager the status of the laboratory and the laboratory
requirements
• Assist the Lab Manager with technical development and validation of new methods, as well as
modifications to existing methods.
• Perform related work as required to maintain ISO accreditations.
Competence
• Graduate of technical diploma of civil materials technology or any equivalent major.
• Have at least (8) years of experience related to civil materials testing.
• Excellent knowledge in ASTM / BS / AASTHO standards
• Valid competency certificates (ACI/ANSI/ASNT/AWS/CWI) will be preferable
• Experience certifications in asphalt pavement, concrete soils and aggregate testing.
• Excellent presentation skills with advanced oral and written communications skills
• Fluent English both written and spoken.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent team player, coordination and planning skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Driving License
