  Microsoft .NET Developer Job Description

The .NET developer's duties include sourcing project requirements, deciding on the most appropriate

software solutions, and ensuring that developments are error-free. He should also ensure that the final

products are well-presented and engaging.

The .NET developer should be able to create code using one of the C# or VB languages. Ultimately,

preferred candidates will demonstrate successful completion of, or significant progress toward, MCSD or

MCPD training.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain new software systems using mathematical models and scientific analysis to

predict outcomes and measure design consequences

• Build high-quality scalable and predictable web applications on the Microsoft technology stack and

maintain internal and external facing web applications using C#

• Create and direct software system testing procedures, documentation and programming to ensure

all software is properly developed and regularly tested for quality assurance

• Confer with other experts, including systems analysts, programmers and engineers to gather

information on project feasibility, limitations, capabilities, requirements and interfaces

• Ensuring that outputs are visually appealing, user-friendly, and engaging.

• Deploying developments and monitoring uptake by the target audience.

• Using clients' feedback to inform the creation of subsequent versions of each development.

• Remaining abreast of coding and technological changes that will impact your work.

• Make regular modifications to existing software for error correction, adaptation to new hardware

and to improve overall function and performance

• Evaluate new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security

and metrics

• Collaborate with specialized teams from across the organization to develop and design solutions

for technical business problems that increase staff productivity and help them achieve their

financial goals

Requirements:

• Five years of development using C# .NET

• Extensive experience using MS SQL Server

• CSS, HTML and JavaScript

• Three years of LINQ, AJAX and Silverlight

• Microsoft Visual Studio

• A flair for creating well-presented software that is technically sound.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Self-driven, flexible, and innovative

• Microsoft Certified Possessional (MCP)

• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
