Brief Role Description:
Performs various materials functions related to but not restricted to the material operation of
providing, receiving, storing, issuing and maintaining all plant projects and T&I materials
required or for any other material entities.
Identifies materials by their type and stores them correctly according to their category. Ensures
quality material ordering process in compliance with Saudi Aramco guidelines. Performs
analysis to the current assets Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure updated material information
and material readiness.
Minimum Requirements (e.g. previous experiences and specific skill requirement
in addition to any Education requirement)
Minimum of seven years’ experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, or infrastructure
industries, and has material procurement experience on large projects and T&I’s. Provides
technical support as required and assists in the preparation of the material procurement plan.
Identifies, reviews, and monitors priority, long lead and other required material, and ensures the
proper coordination with other project disciplines to meet all procurement milestones dates.
Must have thorough knowledge of procurement/materials practices, economic principles,
international codes and standards, procedures and specifications. Must be familiar with Saudi
Aramco SAP materials transactions procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: Expected responsibilities and % of time spent on
each one
1. Ordering, expediting, receiving, inspection, releasing and storing
2. Review all materials requisitions for maintenance work orders require- maintenance
prior to release.
3. Review cost for materials ordered against minor maintenance work orders to ensure they
do not exceed the authorized cost as per GI's.
4. Review all PM materials request to ensure that no spare parts other than those indicated
as consumable are ordered and the cost are within current GI's.
5. Plan for the Bill of Materials (BOMs) preparation.
6. Check all large request for verification with supervisor planner as advised by materials

supervisor and cost limitations in plant internal controls.
7. List the costs on requesting documentation for all materials request against overhead
accounts prior to release approval.
8. Checks material which may be restricted by internal controls.
9. Process all LDOR/MLDOR request and updates AMMS records as necessary.
10. Prepares SA8313 discrepancy reports as necessary and prepares materials for return to
MRO.
11. Resolves all rule violations and updates the system as necessary.
12. Must be able to re-stage, de-stage and update all AMMS screens as his job
responsibilities dictate minimum requirements.
13. Resolve all rule violations by contact with MRO, selection of alter- natives and entering
GTC'S or expediting orders as necessary.
14. Review all outstanding orders on the GTC data base, update requisition information.
15. Prepare documentation for return, transfer and reclamation materials actions as
necessary.
16. Be able to access PATIS inquiries to establish D.C. materials ETA, and update AMMS.
17. Fully understand the rules affecting the purchase for cash and the GI's applicable to their
use.
