 BOP TECHNICIAN(BLOW OUT PREVENTER)

Job Description of Well Control Equipment Technician: 

 Well control equipment includes blowout preventers (BOPs), choke and kill manifolds, BOP Control Unit, hydraulic systems, control panels, and other related machinery. 

 1. Conducting regular maintenance, inspections, and tests of well control equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. This involves checking for leaks, proper functioning of valves and controls, and overall equipment integrity. 

 2. Identifying and diagnosing equipment malfunctions or failures and implementing necessary repairs to bring the equipment back to operational status. This could involve troubleshooting hydraulic systems and mechanical issues. 

 3. Performing pressure tests and other functional tests on well control equipment to verify its readiness for drilling operations. Ensuring that all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards. 

 4. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, tests, and equipment status. Inventory for spares is to be maintained. This documentation is crucial for regulatory compliance and historical reference. 

 5. Working closely with other members of the team, including engineers, supporting technicians and supervisors, to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication during operations. 

 6. Adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment for oneself and the entire team. 

 Work Cycle - 12 months ON - 1 mnoth Off

Salary - OMR 450

Accomodation & transportation shall be provided by company

Food Allowance - OMR 50

Nature of work shall be within API workshop

Working hours: 10 Hours / Day

Friday - Saturday off
