Job Description - Senior Java Architect 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Senior Java Architect overall responsibility is to technically lead and guide the developers as well as manage the Application development Life-cycle of the product. 

The architect should have in-depth knowledge of software architecture, modelling, application development, experience with network design, high-level Java programming skills. Candidates with strong knowledge on HL7-FHIR, Microservices DevOps and architecture and having worked in large scale projects will be preferred. Skills, Abilities & Behaviors: 

 Experience in large scale n-Tier enterprise applications deployments with Clustered and MissionCritical Application and Database Environments. 

 Technical Experience in deployment of Large cross-platform and cross-database projects enterprise application system with hundreds of concurrent users and experience with handling complex concurrency, performance and scalability issues working with large concurrent, stateless and scalable backend applications. 

 Able to implement, contribute to, and refactor a solution based on an existing architectural designs 

 Strong background in Java and JEE, and web service and web frontend technologies with the ability to architect end to end solutions (presentation, mid-tier, database, security, server) with open source and proprietary enterprise technology stacks 

 Experience in handling internationalization issues and developing multi lingual applications  Ability to capture business requirements, analysis, project management and data gathering techniques, and apply practical architecture design and technical solutions. 

 Fluent in all aspects of Application Architecture, Modeling, and Application Development. 

 Very strong real-time object-oriented coding skills in Java Language (Java 8 – 18) to write highly tuned software applications. 

 Proven experience in RESTful API development experience with Java and Spring Boot, large concurrent, stateless and scalable backend applications. 

 Experience with Cloud Platforms and Serverless Architecture 

 Several years of experience in any popular Java IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans, etc.) 

 Working in layered MVC and Dependency Injection frameworks 

 Should be well-versed with the application development paradigms like Test-Driven-Development and white-box testing processes 

 Experience in Microservices DevOps (Docker/Kubernetes /Cloud Native) 

 Good working knowledge of standard approaches to Back-End Architecture and Industry-standard design patterns (SOLID) and JEE architecture pattern 

 Experience with Enterprise Integration patterns, message brokering, workflow and process management 

 Strong skills in configuring MQs and EAI with ApacheMQ, RabbitMQ, Apache Camel, Kafka etc. 

 Very sound analytical knowledge in Web Application Security, Threat Models, and WAF 

 Demonstrable Experience in Architecting/Designing Large Enterprise systems as Microservices. 

 Experience with Indexed Search technologies (Elastic and ELK stack) 

 Strong experience in single page web application (SPA) development with Web 2.0, HTML5, Angular, React, Vue, jQuery, AJAX, TypeScript, JavaScript etc., UI/UX design implementation (CSS and SASS) 

 Experience with Mobile Development Technologies (Xamarin, React Native, Ionic, Flutter). 

 Experience in NoSQL databases and RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) 

 Very good knowledge and experience in handling application vulnerabilities and security issues (vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, stress testing etc.) and security frameworks 

 Very strong working experience in popular web servers (Nginx, Nginx Plus, Apache, JWS, etc.) with strong emphasize of performance tuning and hardening practices, threat detection etc. 

 Working experience in Secure Socket Layer (SSL), PKI, end-to-end encryption, security certificates, etc. 

 Good skills with leading application servers and a clusters (WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.) 

 Solid real-time OO A/D and documentation Skills (Use cases, Class diagrams, Collaboration diagrams, Component diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Deployment Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, etc.,). 

 Very strong knowledge in Standards used in Health Information Exchange like HL7 (Health Level Seven), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) 

 Very Fluent in written and verbal English and Technical writing.
