Brief Role Description:

Plans, estimates, schedules and assures completion of assigned maintenance work for a given

maintenance area or maintenance function. Analyzes manpower, equipment and materials

requirements. Applies performance standards for maintenance work and evaluates actual performance

against standards. Utilizes corporate maintenance computer programs and databases such as SAP to

provide information in a timely efficient manner. Coordinates stepped work within the same

organization (Different Work Centers). Analyze and prepare organization daily/weekly schedules.

Consults daily with supervisor regarding work priority, job progress and unusual problems


Minimum Requirements (e.g. previous experiences and specific skill requirement

in addition to any Education requirement)

 Certified in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) such as TapRoot.

 Familiar with Primavera & IMAS software or other Planning and Scheduling software.

 Have skills to handle and review Contracting activities.

 He should be able to apply engineering concepts to the optimization of equipment, maintenance

resources, and maintenance expenses to achieve improved maintainability, resource efficiency,

and cost effectiveness. In addition to practical knowledge and experience in maintenance

methods and practices.


Duties and Responsibilities: Expected responsibilities and % of time spent on

each one

1. Consults with and advises operating personnel to determine maintenance requirements and

establish priorities for maintenance work. Analyzes requests for maintenance work in his area

and Recommends work which can be economically assigned to contractor organizations and

develops scope of work.

2. Processes work orders, ensuring conformance with the latest revision of Maintenance Work

Order G.I. # 1000.500. Visits job site when necessary to determine specific job requirements.

Utilizes knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved.

3. Identifies all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step.


Saudi Aramco: Company General Use


Has a good knowledge of Saudi Aramco Materials System on SAP, including use of the SAMS

Catalog, requisitioning of SAMS stock items and Direct Charge materials "9COMs",

4. Develops and reviews maintenance schedules in detail; verifies initial estimate for labor,

material, tools, equipment and shop work; reviews and verifies adequacy of estimated

project cost prior to and during work progress

5. Ascertains completeness of scope of work, drawings and list of materials. Anticipates and

initiates request for additional funds for indicated overruns of capital or special expense

budget items. Recommends and justifies the use of overtime to meet scheduled project

completions.

6. Arranges for and schedules support service equipment, to coincide with the maintenance

order scheduling.

7. Ensures that periodic maintenance is performed in accordance with vendor

recommendations and Aramco procedures and that maintenance logs and records are

maintained.

8. Estimate contract hypothetical quantities.

9. Coordinate efficiently with Foreman and plan ahead for any involvement of contractors, special

activities or safety precautions.

10. Facilitate with the concern units to arrange needed support from any Saudi Aramco

organizations such as PDD, ESD, CSD, etc. Similarly, with non Saudi Aramco; for example

contractors, vendor representative, salesmen, etc.

11. Maintains job logs and initiates necessary documentation on contractor performance,

material damage or loss claims, accident reports, job completion reports and contract

payments.

12. Maintains maintenance order and equipment history files and is responsible for checking and

ensuring data is entered. Ensures accuracy of all related computerized maintenance

management system (SAP_PM) data files.

13. Checks out completion of maintenance and construction; verifies that tests are complete.

Prepares Engineering Reports on maintenance activities/methods and means for their

improvement.

14. Review the MIR and investigate to determine causes for variation between Target and Actual

and makes recommendations leading to improvement of Performance. Reviews Plans for

major maintenance processes.
