To operate the Azimuth Stern Drive Tug (ASD Tug) with the highest level of safety in accordance with the Company’s stated principles, policies and objectives, within the Port limit and anchorage area
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Entitled to handle all company ASD Tugs within any of Qatar Ports
• Responsible for day to day port operation at Hamad Port within the planned roaster.
• Safeguarding the safety and life of the crew, to protect the environment, to safeguard the safety
of the Vessel.
• Promoting safety of Port operation or navigation
• Implementing and promoting safe working practices.
• Ensuring that Health and Hygiene conditions are up to the highest possible standards.
• Implementing the Company’s Safety & Environmental Protection Policy and motivating
everybody onboard towards its observance.
• Promoting familiarization and training related with the SMS requirements.
• Issuing appropriate orders in a clear and easily understood manner.
• Reporting all deficiencies of the SMS.
• Overriding all standing procedures in case the safety of the Vessel is in danger; employing
salvage assistance at his discretion with no prior approval.
• Ensuring the compliance of the vessel with National Law, International Conventions and the
requirements of ports operations and visiting countries.
• Performing Master’s reviews of the vessel Safety Management System and reporting
conclusions to the SMS Designated Person; informing the designated person on matters that
have slipped the attention of the Safety Management System.
• To carry all Chief Mate duties toward SMS plan onboard vessels which not require Chief Mate
on-board.
• Provide assistance in maritime rescue operations
• Report to Marine Manager or his representative of any violation, unsafe act or unsafe condition
within the port.
• Reporting incidents, pollution and actions found unsafe to Harbor property and other property
inside harbor.
• Act as Incident Commander in the light of accident or incident as per the Marine Manager
instructions.
• Take Part of the VTMS operation in case of needed for the Port safety.
• Writing reports about Incident, near misses as required by the HM or his assistant.
Qualification/Experiences/Skills
Dimension Minimum requirements
Education Qualification - STCW certificate Master II/2 near course or
equivalent
Professional Experience - 3- 5 years of experience
Geographic Experience.
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
Good knowledge in vessels loading or unloading
equipment and tools Basic knowledge of related
health, safety, security and environmental
regulations.

Leadership
- Good command in English is mandatory
- Computer literate and especially in work
related field

Experience

2.JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SKIPPER (PILOT BOAT)
To operate Pilot Boats and Mooring Boats and other vessels with the highest level of safety in
accordance with the Company’s stated principles, policies and objectives, within the Port limit
and anchorage area.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
To operate Pilot Boats and other vessels within all the Qatar Port limit and anchorage area.
• Provide assistance in maritime rescue operations

3.JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CHIEF ENGINEERS(TUG BOAT)
To work in conjunction with other onboard personnel towards achieving the Company’s stated
principles and objectives.
• Work together with the Port Engineer ensuring that vessels continue to meet the standards
and criteria required by Clients, Class and Statutory regulations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
To execute the safety- and environmental policy on board.
• Responsible for the safety, administration, maintenance and repairs of all permanently installed
equipment on board the vessel, together with the safe and efficient use of the manpower
available.
• Contributes to the objective that the ship is always available to be deployed in a safe and
efficient manner.
• Responsible for all the technical activities on-board and manage the vessels technical
administration and manuals.
• Ensuring compliance to the Company’s policies regarding Safety, Hygiene and Environmental
protection by all repair teams while on-board Company’s vessel.
• Carryout additional duties maybe required from time to time.
• The management of the technical stores, goods and tools and the correct storage or processing
of incoming supplies.
• The environmentally correct processing of waste products.
• Should lead an example by wearing appropriate PPE and comply with safety practices and
procedures at all times.
• Reporting to the Port Engineer.
• Implementing Company policies and procedures and manage the Planned Maintenance System
(PMS).
Education Qualification
STCW Certificate: Engineer III/2 near course
or equivalent
- Valid Certificate of Competence for Chief
engineer all ships or Contracting material up
to 200 nautical miles from coast.
- All required STCW certificates and courses
for the position.
