DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Preparing Risk Assessment, HSE daily reports, Daily Assignments, Accident and injury reporting, Incident reporting, Accident investigation.

2. Conceptualizing and implementing HSE policies and procedures in accordance to the safety regulations governed by QatarEnergy.

3. Identifying activities & processes which are hazardous and undertaking steps for curtailing associated risks, charting several safety measures for minimizing occurrence of accidents, fires, calamities, conducting investigations for determining the cause of industrial accidents.

4. Conduct daily site inspection to ensure that safe work methods are implemented; welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained as per QatarEnergy requirements.

5. Strictly implement the QatarEnergy Work Permit procedure prior to start any activity except normal routine operation

6. Plan and Organize HSE Induction and In House Training for employees and the passengers of the vessels those who are travelling to offshore as per QatarEnergy procedure

7. Investigate all incident/accident, unsafe acts/conditions or near misses for preventive/corrective action

8. Preparation Daily, Weekly HSE reports, Audit reports, weekly meeting reports and near miss/accident reports and communicates the reports to QatarEnergy OIH Department

9. Conduct periodic inspection in all QatarEnergy equipment and strictly implement the color-coding system

10. Organizing and conducting emergency drill to ensure effectiveness of Emergency response procedure

11. Conducting Safety Audit to find out unsafe Acts/ Conditions and initiate corrective actions to overcome unsafe conditions

12. Organizing weekly site safety meeting and special meetings with employees and maintain the records of HSE issues

13. Organize tool-box meetings at workforce and arrange training for competent persons if necessary

14. To maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and inspections on a regular basis

15. To ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with QatarEnergy policies & procedures, under the direction of the HES Department

16. Preparation of emergency plan and details of Muster points & Conducts emergency evacuation and rescue drills

17. Implementing the company policies & procedures relating to health, safety & environment.

18. Attend Weekly & Monthly management meetings and discuss any relevant safety issues

19. Prepares HSE reports and Job Safety Analysis at based on work procedures

20. Participates in HSE inspection, incident investigations, management and technical audits, emergency mock drills & exercises

21. Investigates near miss, incidents & accidents happened at site and recommending measures to prevent re-occurrences

22. Organizing refresher training for crane operators & drivers in performing the job safely.

23. Conducting safety orientations to all newly arrived workers

24. Monitor selection, use and care of PPE and other safety equipment’s used in the company, and educate to the work force on the use and care of the above items

25. Organizing Toolbox meetings once/day for skilled and unskilled workers

26. To create safety awareness through safety talks, displaying safety posters, slogans & bulletins

27. Carrying out inspection of Fire extinguishers, First aid boxes, Hand tools, Power tools, Lifting apparatus, Machineries and Scaffolds etc

28. Preparation of Quarterly reports to PMI by achieving the objectives

29. Monitoring of eye wash station and submitting reports to Field operations Department

30. Monitoring of SOC System and Suggestion system and encouraging peoples to participate

31. Monitoring of Heat stress, wind speed and creating awareness to the employees

32. Conducting weekly meetings with the Operators, drivers and security guards to encourage them to follow road safety

33. Attending weekly meetings with the OIH Sr. Safety officers

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role

2. Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

3. Experience as a health and safety coordinator.

4. Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety

6. Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

7. Working knowledge of safety management information system

8. Must have basic knowledge of computer applications

9. must be observant and proactive at all times when it comes to issues related to workplace safety 10. A minimum of Diploma or technical training in any safety-related field.

11. Certificate in occupational health and safety

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate or Diploma in any disciplines from a recognized university / board.

Note: All the originals of qualification certificates shall be attested from country of origin by their respective board of education and Ministry of Foreign affairs to verify qualifications and credentials.
