HIRING Health, Safety and Environment Officer FOR SAUDI ARABIA
Description
The HSE Officer is responsible for facilitating compliance with health, safety and environment guidelines
and to ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents. This includes developing
policies, recommendations and guidelines, developing and providing training programs designed to meet
regulatory requirements, and serving as consultants in providing health, safety and environment
information to laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities
• Making regular site and lab inspections
• Planning and provide safe working practices and making necessary changes
• Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health, safety and environment legislation
• Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
• Undertaking risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks
• Organizing/attending health, safety and environment meetings
• Compiling statistics
• Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.
• Providing health, safety and environment training courses for employees and managers
• Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
• Participating in internal health, safety and environment policies, strategies and procedures
• Preparing regular reports as per applicable requirements
Competence
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or related science
• Valid competency certificates (NEBOSH, IOH and OSHA)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this position
• Excellent presentation skills with advanced oral and written communications skills
• Fluent English both written and spoken.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent team player, coordination and planning skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Driving License
