Hiring Electrical technician specialist-Motors Maintenance & Alignment for UAE

 Position: Electrical technician specialist-Motors Maintenance & Alignment

Job Purpose

Carry out various testing and servicing activities related wide variety of low voltage and high voltage

motors. Shall be conversant with different types motor construction, assembling and disassembling,

replacement of bearing and other parts. Should be multi-craft in terms various mechanical and

electrical measurement, testing and repairing activities like end shield, alignment, coupling and

balancing, vibration measurement etc. Capable of understanding and executing the overhauling

activities in workshop as well as in the field at various location in the plant with due safety

precautions.

Job Specific Accountabilities

 Identify the tools and testing instruments needed for motor overhauling and servicing

requirement.

 Shall be experienced and capable of independently carrying out overhauling/ bearing

replacement of various makes & types of HT & LT Motors.

 Shall be experienced and capable of Carryout alignment of motor with the coupled

equipment viz. pump/fan component etc. with manual Dial Gauge /Laser alignment Kit with

No /Minimum supervision

 Able to prepare and execute the job plan related particularly to High or low voltage motors.

 Must understand various types and usage of lubricants and cleaner for motor overhauling.

 Shall be highly skilled in using various tools and tackles like micrometer/ various type of

caliper gas-torch set, bearing puller, heating oven , LASER alignment kit etc.

 Assist in analyzing recurring breakdowns/problems in the equipment and implementing

recommendations to avoid recurrence and to sustain continuous operation.

 Identify and replace the defective component as a part of trouble shooting/servicing.

 Preference be able to read and understand the OEM service manuals in English and execute

the tasks.

 Supervision

•    Shall be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

•    Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and

sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and client Work

Management System.

Minimum Qualification: Minimum Qualification: Completion of Secondary School (10 years)

education, followed by 1-2 years technical Diploma/ ITI equivalent certificate from

Government affiliated institution.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

 Minimum 8 years’ experience in motor overhauling and testing for FLP/ increased safety

Motors of various makes and types (Viz. Ansaldo / ABB /Brooks & Hansen/Siemens ) of

motors (Viz. Ansaldo / ABB /Brooks & Hansen/Siemens ) installed in clarified area and make

in a large petrochemical Refining / Petrochemical complex / Gas processing plant.

 Has knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry and conversant with Hazardous area classification

 Troubleshooting on electrical motors.

 Preference to be able to verbally communicate with use of English language and able to fill

up the check list and provide service report.

 Able to build relationships with staff and teams with a focus on collaboration.
