Brief Role Description:-
The candidate will work in the Manufacturing Planning & Economics Unit (MPEU) under the Blending and
Scheduling Group.
Minimum Requirements (e.g. previous experiences and specific skill
requirement in addition to any Education requirement)
The candidate shall have previous experience in refineries and worked in planning, scheduling and
hydrocarbon blending.
The candidate shall have either an Engineering degree or two-year Diploma in relevant subject.
Duties and Responsibilities: Expected responsibilities and % of time spent
on each one
1. All products blending to timely meet the customers demand with minimum giveaway.
2. All products lifting and receiving to timely meet the customer’s plans and SROP implementation with
minimum deferral.
3. Improve and automate as possible the blending and scheduling tools.
4. Issue and review daily, monthly and shut down plans for units and tanks and advice SROP group of
foreseen impact on the product availability.
5. Review all blending and transfers procedures in the tank farm to assure no quality concern.
6. Evaluate all constrains in the product handling that need to be debottelneck for flexibility and
economic purposes.
7. Coordinate with other units all quality related activities.
8. Evaluate unusual or abnormal situation and take proper action to either correct the problem or
analyze and select the best possible alternative.
9. Reacts to emergency situation promptly and with precise action steps and coordination of any
required facilities to correct the situation and or minimize its effect on other operations.
Unit Function (Role & Responsibilities)
The core function of the Manufacturing Planning & Economics Unit (MPEU) is to coordinate refinery
operations in the most optimum way to meet its commitment to the Corporate effectively and ensure
Saudi Aramco:- Company General Use
continuous availability of on-spec products to its various customers.
Justification
MPEU is currently having two planners, one of them is on assignment. This workforce is handling all the
MPEU functions related to planning and scheduling with extensive load of new deliverables which require
dedicated manpower for handling IMOMS and operating the Petroleum Scheduling tool (APS).
