Pipeline Inspector
JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking for a Pipeline inspector Level-1, who can thoroughly inspect and assess pipeline infrastructure in detail.
In this role, you will be required to inspect pipelines for faults, prepare technical diagnostic reports, and provide recommendations to resolve pipeline issues. Must gain and achieve basic knowledge of all relevant equipment, operating procedures and have a basic understanding of tubular operations.
• Must be certified in Nondestructive testing (NDT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
• Support immediate supervisor in all field operations and perform services according to immediate supervisor/manager’s instructions.
• Adhere to the guidelines and procedures of DS1 inspection as per DS1 Inspection Manual • Ensure reports and other quality related documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner and delivered to office immediately on completion of job.
• Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials, products, and installations for conformance to specifications.
• Detecting and locating internal and external, corrosion, pitting, cuts, gouges, wall loss, and fatigue cracks before they result in severe damage.
• Monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products.
• Cleaning, maintaining, calibrating, or otherwise repairing measuring instruments or test equipment.
• Recommending necessary corrective actions, based on inspection results.
• Performing visual inspections to detect faults, damage, corrosion, or leaks in pipelines.
• Identifying and presenting the causes of pipeline faults
• Documenting assessments and generating incident reports for faulty or defective pipelines.
• Presenting repair, maintenance, and mitigation solutions for compromised pipelines.
• Planning and supervising the pipeline repair and maintenance processes.
• Ensuring that all regulatory and permit documentation is prepared and filed correctly. • Keeping up to date with the latest trends in inspection software and tools.
• Able to handle multiple tasks, duties, responsibilities, and the management of time while meeting deadlines.
• Inspect steel tubing pipes, casing, drill pipe caps on, and other tubular oil well equipment for defects.
• Buffed and retrieved serial numbers on drill pipes to log those that were damaged and or refurbished.
• Cleaned, buffed, and inspected drill pipes for cracks and other malfunction, used black light to perform inspections.
• Inspected interior and exterior of casing, drill pipe, and other tubular metal equipment used in oil drilling.
